It is our pleasure to have the opportunity to provide your refuse handling and recycling services. In an effort to best serve your needs, please refer to the following important information. TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE All Town of Porter residents (not applicable for Porter Beach Residents)All trash pickup will be every Thursday. All recycling will be picked up every other Friday, for different Town Areas, see Town website for details Just a reminder all trash and recycling must be out by 6:00 am. RECYCLING PICKUP DAYS ARE AS FOLLOWS: NORTH OF HIGHWAY 20 AND PORTER COVE RESIDENTS: February 4, February 12. February 26 March 12, March 26, April 9, April 23, May 7, May 21, June 4, June 18 July 2, July 16, July 30, August 13, August 27 September 10, September 24, October 8, October 22, November 5 November 19, December 3, December 17, December 31 SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 20 RESIDENTS: February 4, February 19. March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, April 30 May 14, May 28, June 11, June 25 July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20 September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15 October 29, November 12, November 26 December 10, December 24 Porter Beach residents trash pickup is on Mondays Trash days that will be delayed one day because of holidays are: May 31, July 5, September 6 Recycling dates are as follows: January 4, January 18, February 1 February 15, March 1, March 15, March 29 April 12, April 26, May 10, May 24 June 7, June 21, July 5, July 19 August 2, August 16, August 30, September 13 September 27, October 11, October 25, November 8 November 22, December 6, December 20 HOLIDAYS Regional Industries observes the following six holidays if they occur on weekdays:
If these holidays fall on weekdays, collection will be one day behind schedule for the remainder of the week. LARGE ITEMS For Large Items such as couches and household appliances, please call 800-828-2253 extension 200 to arrange for a special pickup. Generally, these items will be removed within two business days of your call. For items containing Freon, such as air conditioning units, freezers and refrigerators, there is a Freon evacuation fee of $30 per item. If you have questions or issues with the trash or recycling service, please contact the Public Works Department.
