Carlson Corners Temporary Road Closure UPDATE

NIPSCO will temporarily close Carlson Corners to relocate three gas services. The work is at the south road edge and they need to dewater the ditch also. This work will be from Monday May 6, 2024 at 7:00am until no later than Wednesday May 8, 2024 at 6:00pm. They will close the road to through traffic at Pearson Road & Port Cove to Mineral Springs & Marquette. As always, this is weather dependent; rain may delay the schedule.

UPDATE May 9, 2024: One gas service was relocated and an unmarked Frontier fiber line was cut. Frontier must mark their services and then NIPSCO will resume their work shortly. We are not notified prior to NIPSCO workers returning. If the "road closed" barricades are up, that means NIPSCO is working and the road is closed. Please do not drive around the barricades when they are up.
