Plan Commission

What is the Plan Commission?


The primary duty of the Porter Advisory Plan Commission is to develop and recommend to the Town Council a plan for the future of the land use in the community, called the "Comprehensive Plan". The Commission also must make recommendations on rezoning requests and decisions on subdivision proposals. The town's Comprehensive Plan and the Code of Ordinances are the basis of all recommendations and decisions. To start a petition, click here or stop by Town Hall. Learn more here.

Commission Meetings


The Plan Commission meets at 6:30pm on the third Wednesday of every month at the Porter Town Hall, 303 Franklin Street in Porter. Check the Town News page for details about upcoming meetings.
